Director// Will Garthwaite -

Born in London 27 years ago, Will Garthwaite developed a love for all things performance whilst at school. A regular fixture in plays up until the end of his University days, Will eventually decided to go to drama school, training at Webber Douglas, and enter the professional arena.

After successfully appearing in several shorts and in theatres around London, including the King’s Head and the Rosemary Branch, Will began to write eventually attracting the interest of producers at Ridley Scott Associates for whom he wrote a TV comedy called My Life So Far.

Will then decided to direct a short script he had written called Nice To Meet You, under the auspices of a new company set up with producer Will Misselbrook called Distilled Films, and attracted Trudie Styler, her daughter Mickey Sumner, and Irish star Jamie Dornan to the leading roles.

Since then Will has written his first feature TomStory, several other shorts, and is currently working on a new short film project, Micycle. He also recently appeared as an actor in a new advert for Dot Tel directed by Green Wing creator Victoria Pile, and as part of Keats’ orchestra in Jane Campion’s new film, Bright Star.

Will Misselbrook

Producer// Will Misselbrook –

Having graduated from University of York with a History of Art degree Will went on to attend Columbia University Film School in New York. There he directed and produced a number of short films, most noticeably the acclaimed ‘Schtum’, which was subsequently nominated in numerous short film festivals worldwide, winning the Toronto Short Film Festival 2005 and runner up in the Berlin and Florida film festivals respectively. Upon returning to London to live he continued his producing career in music videos and commercials. After establishing himself in the production world he moved into advertising to work for the global advertising firm Wieden & Kennedy.

Here, Will produced for companies such as Honda, Nike, Sony, Nokia, Visa and Universal Pictures on a variety of projects ranging from TV commercials, TV programmes & films. Will was nominated for a number of new media films & TV Shows at the BTAA and Shots awards for Honda and Nike 2007/8. Will currently works as an Executive Producer for Saatchi & Saatchi in London. He is also in progress on a number of feature film development and investment projects with Distilled Films.
